Kate
I can not even believe that my baby girl is 4 years old. Wow how time has flown by. I know she is my child but I must take a minute to talk about this fabulous gal! Kate was born with an opinion. From day one she knew how she wanted things. When she was a baby she liked her paci- so much that Steven and I switched off holding in her mouth all night the first two months, she wanted her favorite pink blankie not just in bed with her but she wanted her entire body to be covered-even her head. Now she must pick out her own clothes and brush her own hair, and she doesn't really like help doing anything. I have always called her "Miss Independent". I always knew that if I worked with some of this God given independence we could have a great, strong, wonderful young lady. I am happy to say I am really starting to see that. One day in Sunday School there was a little girl who walked in sad. She was crying, and I just told Kate that it looked like she was feeling sad-maybe she could make her feel better. Kate walked over and said, "It's ok, don't be sad. Here you can hold my new Bible." This is the new Bible that is very special to her. It was one of my proudest moments. Kate is such a sincere, empathetic person. She has made me so proud to watch her be so wonderful with Jack since day one. She loves and takes such great care of him. I love raising a strong little girl. Although it can be challenging at times I am so grateful that God has blessed me with Kate.
